This Privacy Policy describes how Price Alert (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our Android application. Price Alert allows users to track products and receive notifications when prices change.

By using Price Alert, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Information We Collect

Price Alert may collect and store the following types of information:

  • Tracked items — product URLs, names, prices, and related tracking data you choose to save in the app.
  • User preferences — settings such as notification preferences, check intervals, and display options.
  • Usage and diagnostic data — anonymized or aggregated analytics and crash reports collected through third-party services (see Third-Party Services below).
  • Device information — basic device and app version data that may be collected by Google Play Services and Firebase services to support app functionality and diagnostics.

Price Alert does not collect payment information and does not require users to create an account.

How We Use Information

  • Store and display your tracked products and price history on your device.

  • Apply your preferences and settings within the app.
  • Monitor app performance, diagnose crashes, and improve stability and features.

We do not sell your personal information. Price Alert does not share or sell personal data to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

Price Alert may use the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

Data Retention

Price Alert does not operate its own backend servers and does not transmit tracked product data to developer-controlled servers. Tracked products, alerts, and preferences are stored locally on the user’s device.

Tracked items and user preferences are stored locally on your device for as long as you keep the app installed and the data in the app. Analytics and crash data retained by Firebase and Google are subject to those providers’ retention policies.

You can uninstall the app at any time to remove locally stored data from your device. Uninstalling the app does not automatically delete data already collected by third-party analytics or crash reporting services prior to removal.

User Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

  • Access or review data stored locally in the app on your device.
  • Delete tracked items and reset preferences within the app.
  • Disable notifications through your device or in-app settings.
  • Uninstall the app to remove locally stored data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app, our practices, or legal requirements.
